Triple Green Jade Farm is a small organic, diversified farm on 80 acres bordering the Boquet River in Willsboro, New York, stewarded by Dan and Kimmy Rivera since 2014.
At their farm they make naturally-leavened sourdough breads with freshly milled local and organic whole grains, baked in their wood-fired oven on-site. Bread was their gateway to farming, but they also raise poultry, pigs, free range eggs, and have an emerging micro dairy. Dan and Kimmy hold events, classes, and farm to table dinners to connect people with the farm.
Their vision for the farm is to become a thriving community centered around local food and organic farming that feeds the Adirondack and Champlain Valley region, increases food resiliency and food sovereignty while also building affordable housing for their members in an eco-village setting.
As part of their farm succession plan, Dan and Kimmy have embarked on a farmer-owned cooperative that when members join, they get shared ownership of the land and the farm businesses, and a leased plot of land in the eco-village to build a home. Members get to be part of an established farm and food business with both direct and wholesale markets, with lots of opportunities for members to explore further. This project is in its early stages, and they are recruiting members who wish to join in this vision.
