Job Description
Farmer Position Available:
Featherbed Lane Farm is seeking to fill a farmer position for the remainder of the season, starting now and running through November. An interest in being Full-Time is preferred though Part-Time will be considered. There is also the possibility of extending work into the winter and staying for 2027.
The position’s primary focus is vegetable production, including greenhouse management, field production and harvests, as well as occasional livestock work and assistance with the weekly CSA Pickup. Prior farm experience is valued. Equally valued is a good work ethic and attitude, the ability to do very physical work outside during all weather conditions, and a readiness to learn, be effective, have fun and be a part of the team. This is a great opportunity for someone exploring farming as a profession or looking to move into a management role.
This is an hourly salaried position, starting at $16-18/hour plus benefits. Prior farming experience and longer terms of employment will be considered in setting the rate. Farmer benefits include a weekly produce and eggs, discounts on products from other farms, paid leave, and more.
